Staff Correspondent: Just one month into the killing by armed militants at a Gulshan café, wife of the slain Detective Branch Assistant Commissioner Robiul Karim gave birth to a baby girl early Monday.
Hospital sources said that Robiul’s wife Umme Salma delivered the baby through caesarean section at Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar around 1:00am.
Robiul`s mother Karimunnesa is seen shedding tears. She said, "My daughter in-law became speechless after the death of my son."
On July 1, while fighting to rescue his country from the grips of terror, Robiul, a DB officer of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Salauddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Banani Police Station were killed during the hostage crisis at Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka`s diplomatic zone of Gulshan.
