Mirpur Indoor Stadium fire under control

Staff Correspondent: The fire at Mirpur Indoor Stadium has been brought under control after quick efforts by fire-fighters on Sunday noon.  

Sources said that the fire originated from an electric short circuit. On information, two fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control instantly.

Confirming the matter, Mirpur Fire Service Duty Officer Ataur Rahman told risingbd.com they tamed the flames around 3:00pm on Sunday.

Following the fire incident, the volleyball match between Maldives and Afghanistan disrupted few minutes. Later, the match was resumed.
