Turning the Narayanganj seven-murder as a planned murder, the Attorney General said, “The main job of those involved in the sensational seven-murder is to protect the property of people and safeguard the freedom of people. If those are found guilty of the murder, their crimes will be unforgivable crimes. I agree with what the countrymen expect over the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj.”

The court of District and Session Judge Syed Enayet Hossain is set to pronounce the verdict tomorrow over sensational seven-murder.

The team formed to investigate into the sensational murder case indicted total 35 people, including prime accused Nur Hossain and three sacked RAB officials on February 8, 2016.

Later, the court fixed January 16 for pronouncing the judgement after prolonged arguments in the case in presence of the arrested 23 accused.

On April 27 in 2014, Narayanganj City Corporation councilor Nazrul Islam along with his three aides and driver were kidnapped allegedly by a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11.

Besides, senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver Ibrahim were also picked up by the same team as they witnessed the abduction of Nazrul and his associates.

All the seven bodies were later found floating in the Shitalakkhya river.

Two cases were filed in this connection -- one by Nazrul's family and the other by Chandan's family.

Later, three RAB officials -- Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad, Maj Arif Hossain and Lt Commander SM Masud Rana - were sacked from the services for their alleged involvement in the abduction and killing.
