Expatriate’s body found beside rail tracks

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: The body of a Malaysia expatriate Bangladeshi has been found beside rail tracks in Gazipur.

Police recovered the body of Shafikul Islam (38) from the Gazipur City Corporation's Haydrabad area on Tuesday morning.

Police suspect he was mugged before being pushed off from a running train.

Shafikul Islam hailed from the northern district of Sirajganj. Family said he came to Bangladesh on Monday to prepare documents for wife. After landing Dhaka, he caught a train to Sirajganj.
