Gold found in man's stomach at Dhaka airport

Staff Correspondent: Customs Intelligence officials have detained a person after detecting packets filled with gold in his stomach at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Saturday.

The law enforcers challenged the passenger named Jobayer Aktar when he was crossing green channel of the airport. An x-ray test was carried out to check his stomach and found 15 gold bars.

Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House SM Sohel Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

The market price of the total seized gold is around Tk 75 lakhs, the official added.
