National leader Quamruzzaman’s wife no more

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Jahanara Zaman, wife of AHM Quamruzzaman, one of the four national leaders, is no more.
She died of cardiac arrest 12.45am on Monday at her Gulshan residence in Dhaka city. She was 84.
According to family sources, complained of chest pain on Sunday night. She had long been suffering from diabetes and old age complications.
Jahanara Zaman left behind two sons including former Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation and central executive committee member of Bangladesh Awami League AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and four daughters, grand sons and grand daughters and a large number of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
Her body will be brought here from Dhaka for burial today, said Istiaque Hossain Liton, Private Assistant of Khairuzzaman Liton.
Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, Omor Faruque Chowdhury, MP, Ayen Uddin, MP, and many other political leaders expressed their deep shock at the death of Jahanara Zaman.
They prayed for the peace of departed soul and conveyed their deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
