Conviction to work keeping good relation with mass media

Secretariat Correspondent: Chief information officer Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Hossain has expressed conviction to work keeping good relation with mass media.

He expressed his conviction while speaking at a view exchange meeting with representatives of various media at the Secretariat on Thursday.

Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Hossain highlighted 10 special initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and details about Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the view exchange meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, he said, “We have to work keeping good relation with media, not to control it.”

In reply to a query, the chief information officer said, “Those who are eligible for getting accreditation card and pass to access Parliament are not getting those accesses. In some cases, some persons who have no connection with media are getting these accesses very easily. The media will have to play a key role in this regard.”

Replying another query, additional chief information officer Mohammad Istiak Hossain said, “Time has come to issue smart cards in place of general ones. Hope we will be able to give you good news about smart accreditation card soon.”

Among others, senior deputy chief information officer Fazle Rabbi Fazle Rabbi and representatives of various media attended the meeting.
