Staff Correspondent: A young man was shot during a clash in the city's Purana Paltan area on Monday.
Sources said, Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, 21, a supporter of Awami League MP from Rupganj of Narayanganj, was shot around 5:30pm.
MP Golam Dastagir's APS Quamruzzaman said two groups of his supporter locked into altercation and at one stage, they opened fire at each other, leaving Mosharraf Hossain injured. But, it was not clear who opened the fire.
Deputy police commissioner of Motijheel zone Md Anwar Hossain said details can be said after investigation.
