‘Govt never interferes in judicial department’

Staff Correspondent: Mentioning the judicial department as free, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said, “The government never interfered in the judicial department in the past and will never do in the future.”

The minister came up with the statement while speaking at a press meet at the Sagar-Runi auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the capital on Tuesday.

The law minister said, “The present government has given an opportunity to the judicial department to work freely after it comes in power. As a result, the ordinary people are getting justice.”

We are bringing some amendments to the act related to the services of lower court judges. Side by side the ministry will soon publish a gazette notification in this regard, Anisul added.
