Govt can't reshuffle Islami Bank: Muhith

Parliament Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith said that it is not possible to reshuffle the Islami Bank as the government has few shares in the bank.
The Minister made the opinion while replying to a question of opposition MP Selim Uddin in the National Parliament on Sunday.
He said, "Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited is a private limited company. Share holders are the owner of the bank. The government has only 0.0013 percent share in the bank. So, it's not possible to take special steps in the bank."
In reply to another question, Muhith also said some illegal businessmen attempt tax evasion providing false information on quantity, number and value.
Automated system customs data world systems have been set up in all customs house and important land customs stations to stop tax evasion, he added.
