Staff Correspondent: Police detained a man with 25 Kilograms of explosive from Old Dhaka area in the capital.
The detainee was identified as Haydar Ali.
Masudur Rahman, Deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter to risingbd on Monday.
He said that the law enforcers conducted a drive in the Old Dhaka-2 gate and detained Haydar with the explosive on Sunday night.
A case was filed with Kotwali police station in this regard, he added.
