Mayor Bulbul, Ariful suspended again

Staff Correspondent: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and Sylhet City Corporation Mayor (SCC) Ariful Haque Chowdhury have been suspended again.

The Local Government Division of the LGRD Ministry issued a circular on Sunday noon in this regard.

Enamul Habib, chief executive officer of Sylhet City Corporation Mayor said that he got the copy of the order around 2:00pm and sent it to the mayor.

However, he could not disclose the reason behind the suspension order.

A source of the Nagar Bhaban said that the authority issued the suspension order as Ariful Haque was accused in two cases – one filed under explosive Substances Act and another filed for murder.

Besides, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul went to his office around 10:00am. But, he also received a suspension order around 3:00pm.

On May 7 in 2015, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul was suspended for his alleged involvement in sabotage.
