Judges’ conduct rules: Govt gets further time

Staff Correspondent:  The Supreme Court has extended time for the government up to May 8 to issue a gazette notification on the disciplinary and conduct rules for lower court judges.

A seven-member bench, headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha, passed the order on Tuesday following a time-petition filed by Attorney General Mahbubey Alam.

Earlier on 28 March, the SC extended time for the government by one week to issue the gazette notification.
