Shahidul, Obaidur elected DSEC’s president, secretary

Staff Correspondent: Senior Sub-Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangsatha KM Shahidul Haque  and Senior Sub-Editor of online portal jagonews24.com AKM Obaidur Rahman have been elected president and general secretary respectively of Dhaka Sub-Editor's Council (DSEC).

Haque was elected president bagging 223 votes while his contestant Helaly Wadud Chowdhury secured managed 128 votes. Rahman became general secretary beating his rival Tanzimul Nayan by 23 votes bagging 183 votes.

Election Commissioner of the polls Mohsin Al Abbas announced the results on Tuesday evening at Jatiya Press Club while some 366 voters among 871 casted their votes between 1pm to 6pm at the club.
