Satkhira faces power outage

Satkhira Correspondent: Satkhira district has gone through a power outage early Thursday due to disruption of a line in Binerpota area.

Power supply in the district has remained suspended since 3.00am. As a result, 22 lakh people have been suffering in the hot weather. In particular, hospital patients are suffering more.

Aminur Rahman Alam, a resident of Satkhira Sadar, said power has gone out at 3.00am. Children and elders are suffering.

Executive Engineer of Satkhira Md. Rokanuzzaman said power comes here from Khulna. Power supply in the district has remained suspended as a line in Binerpota area has been disrupted. The repairing work is going fast, he also said.
