Shahabuddin Nagari put on 5 days remand

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court placed poet Shahabuddin Nagari and two others on five-day remand in a murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Waez Kuruni Khan Chowdhury passed the order on Monday.

The two other accused are- Nurani Aktar Sumi and her car driver Selim.

Earlier, New Maker police station Inspector (Investigation) Matlubur Rahman produced the three accused before the court seeking ten days remand.

Officer-in-charge of New Market Police Station Atikur Rahman told risingbd.com that in a drive police detained them from Nikunja Residential area at Khilkhet in the capital early hours of Monday over a murder case.

Atikur Rahman said that once upon a time, Shahabuddin Nagari worked in National Board of Revenue (NBR). He was booked over the murder of a businessman Nurul Islam on April 13.

According to the case statement, the businessman Nurul Islam was found dead in the bedroom of his flat in Dom Inno Apartment Complex at Elephant Road in the capital.

Later, victim's sister Shahana Rahman Kajal filed a case with New Market Police Station mentioning their names.
