Production of joint-venture films postponed

Staff Correspondent: The government has decided to postpone the production of films with other countries until the passing of a proper guideline.

The Ministry of Information took the decision after a meeting with film industry representatives on Sunday.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present in the meeting with Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed in the chair. 

Actor Faruk and president of Bangladesh Film Actors’ Association Misha Sawdagor placed different proposals in the meeting for development and flourishing of the industry.

Bangladesh Betar Director General (DG) SM Harun-or-Rashid, Additional Secretary of Information Ministry Monjurur Rahman, managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) Tapan Kumar Gosh and others attended the programme.
