Mosquito net procession held in capital

Staff Correspondent: Members of a section of Progressive Nationalist Party (PNP) have staged a procession holding mosquito nets at hands in order to press home their demand to prevent mosquito-borne Chikungunya disease.

The party organised the procession around 3:30pm on Saturday. The procession started from Nayapaltan and ended at press club in the capital.

General people along with the PNP leaders and activists were seen to take part in the procession.

While addressing the procession in front of the press club, speakers urged the government and responsible persons to prevent Chikungunya disease.

The outbreak of mosquito-borne Chikungunya has recently spread in many areas of the capital Dhaka. People diagnosed with the Chikungunya disease suffer from severe fever and pain in body.
