Revised budget to be presented before deadline: Muhith

KMA Hasnat: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said the budget for 2017-2018 fiscal year will be presented at the National Parliament before the deadline after revising the revenue chapter.

Alongside, he also reiterated his decision not to participate in next general election.

He, however, said he will contest the 11th general election if the party takes the decision.

The Minister said this while talking to the reporters at Bangladesh Secretariat on Saturday.

Finance Minister said the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act has been suspended for two years. This will create crisis in the budget. To remove the crisis, allotment for different sectors will be revised, after keeping the budget size unchanged. This process will be completed within the deadline.
