Staff Correspondent: The customs authority recovered 250 gold bars weighing 25 kg worth about TK 12 crore from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at the dead of night on Saturday.
The gold bars were recovered from the wheelchair of a passenger of a flight coming from Singapore that night.
Moinul Khan, director general of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, told risingbd.com that the customs officials challenged the passenger and the bars were recovered from his possession after searching him.
Legal action will be taken against him, he said.
