PM urges all to work to continue ongoing progress

Desk Report: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged all to work with dedication and sacrifice so that the country can continue its ongoing progress and stand midst world community with dignity.
“Bangladesh is our beloved motherland. So everybody should work sincerely with devotion so that our motherland can continue its journey towards progress and stand in the world community with dignity,” she said.
The Prime Minister was talking to media after exchanging greetings with party leaders and workers and cross section of people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha at her official residence Gonobhabn on Saturday.
The prime minister said the Eid-ul-Azha is a magnificent system of sacrifice for the welfare of the mankind. It’s the duty of every human being to remain ready for any sacrifice for mankind, she said, adding that Eid-ul-Azha teaches us for the sacrifice.
Sheikh Hasina said, "Bangladesh is progressing fast economically. We want to keep up the progress. I want to see that Bangladesh will live in the world as a dignified nation keeping its head high which was the main essence of the independence.”
Extending her greetings to the countrymen and hajj pilgrims, the Prime Minister said, “This country is ours. So we have to build up the country as a prosperous one as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
“Bangladesh is moving ahead economically and it will continue its progress Inshalla,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina said her government has successfully tackled the recent flood. The government has taken all measures for the affected people including providing them with new homes. Not a single man will remain in Bangladesh without home, she said.
