Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) is set to deliver tomorrow (September 12) an order on the government’s decision to deduct five marks for second time medical admission seekers.
The HC bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Jahangir Hossain set the date on Monday after hearing in the case.
Advocate Eunus Ali Akond placed arguments during the hearing in favour of a writ petition challenging the government’s decision to deduct five marks for second time medical admission seekers.
While placing the arguments, Akond said that the decision is discriminatory and contradictory to the national education policy.
In the writ petition, health secretary, director general of Health Department, director of Medical Education and Health Manpower Development under the health ministry and chairman of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) have been made defendants.
