Belal Mohammad under life support

DHAKA, July 29: Belal Mohammad, one of the organisers of the War of Liberation in 1971, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in the capital on Monday.

The Apollo Hospital sources said Belal Mohammad was kept at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under life support. He has long been suffering from complications of lung.

His relative Rumana Shafi said Belal Mohammad was taken to the Apollo Hospital at 8.30pm on Monday.

Belal Mohammad was the founder of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the War of Liberation in 1971. He received `Swadhinata Padak` in 2010 for his outstanding contributions to the War of Liberation.
