Meeting over 16th amendment verdict review

Staff Correspondent: The Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and the 10-member team formed to assist him for the review petition against the SC verdict over the 16th amendment of the constitution are holding a meeting.

Law Minister Anisul Huq has also attended the meeting.

The meeting started at Attorney General's SC office around 12:00pm on Saturday.

According to sources, the government is planning to file a review petition over the verdict that scrapped the 16th constitutional amendment empowering the parliament to remove SC judges for incapacity or misbehavior.
