2 to die for killing schoolboy

Staff Correspondent: Two men have been awarded with death penalty for killing Md Hasan, a class eight student of Cambridge High School in the capital’s Demra area.

Eighth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Abdullah Al Manun passed the order on Sunday noon. 

The convicts are painters Billal Chaprashi and Md Shajahan.

The court also fined them Tk 25,000.

According to the case statement, Hasan was abducted by Billal and Shajahan on July 10, 2014. They demanded Tk 5 lakh from Hasan’s father for his release. The culprits killed Hasan despite being received Tk 50 thousand.
