Comilla Civil Surgeon among 3 at HC

Staff Correspondent: Comilla Civil Surgeon among three people have appeared before the High Court (HC) to explain over the incident of ending the delivery operation keeping one of the twin babies inside the stomach.

The other two people are Mojibur Rahman, managing director of Life Hospital and Digital Diagnostic Centre, and physician Hosne Ara Begum.

The hearing is set to be hold at the bench led by Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury around 11:00am on Tuesday.

Earlier, the HC summoned the three on October 29.

On October 26, a national daily published a report titled "Jomojer ekti pete rekhe operation shesh (Operation ended keeping a baby of twins inside the stomach)"

Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman appeared before the court with the report. Later, the HC summoned the three.

It may be mentioned that another child was later brought out after operation at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
