Bandit killed in Satkhira gunfight

Satkhira Correspondent: A bandit leader was killed during a gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Satkhira range of the Sundarbans on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nannu Mollah, second in command of Jonab Gang.
RAB-6 Lieutenant Commander Jahidul Islam said that acting on a tip-off, RAB personnel conducted a drive in the area this morning. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the robber gang opened fire aiming RAB personnel. In reply, the RAB also opened fire which triggered the gunfight.
Later, RAB members' detained bullet injured Nannu Mollah from spot and sent him to Shayamnagar Health Complex but, he died on the way of hospital.
Meanwhile, three pipe guns, a rifle, a one shooter gun and 26 rounds of bullets were seized from the spot.
Syed Mannan Ali, officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station, said that the body was taken to Shyamnagar Health Complex.
