Export-import activities closed at Benapole

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Export and import activities at Benapole land port has been closed following a strike of C&F Agent Employees Union.

C&F Agent Employees Union president Majibar Rahman on Thursday said that the strike will continue until the law enforcers in the land port release the detained worker of Sonia Enterprise.

Following the strike, as many as hundreds of goods-carrying trucks have remained stuck on the both sides of the border.

Earlier, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Customs authority recovered a one shooter gun and two rounds of bullets from a goods laden Indian truck on Wednesday night.
