14 vehicles to wash DSCC roads

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has introduced some vehicles to spray water in roads to keep dust and pollution-free city.

DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon inaugurated the cleaning campaign in front of the Nagar Bhaban in the city on Thursday.

The authority already has brought nine vehicles in this regard. And five vehicles will be added soon.

During the inauguration ceremony, the mayor said that the city corporation will clean its 50 kilometers roads spraying water for two times daily during dry season.



"The cleaning process has started with vehicles. More five will be added to wash the roads in the city corporation areas with water everyday," he said.

Sayeed Khokon also said the DSCC has taken various initiatives to make the city livable for its dwellers. There is no road which is free from dust which is responsible for asthma and lung allergy.
