Businessman shot dead in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Unidentified miscreants shot dead a businessman in broad daylight in Sadar Ghat area of Chittagong town on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Harun, 40, a transport businessman.

Police and local sources said that three councilors of the Chittagong City Corporation organized a rally this evening. At one stage, hearing a gun fire sound locals started moving here and there. Meanwhile, the bullet hit body of the victim was found in the rally venue. Later, he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 6:00pm.
