Train services on Rajshahi-Khulna route resume

Pabna Correspondent: Rail communication on the Rajshahi-Khulna route has resumed after about five hours of disruption caused by a derailment in Ishwardi.

The train service became normal around 12:30pm on Sunday.

Gazi Golam Ferdous, station master of Iswardi bypass said, due to dense fog the engine of Chapainawabganj-bound commuter train derailed during crossing bypass up-line point around 7:00am. As a result, the train stuck in the area.

Later, the authority recovered the derailed engine around 12:30 and the commuter train moved for its destination, he added.
