Train hits truck in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A train hit a truck standing on Dherua rail crossing at Mirzapur early Wednesday, halting the rail link with north Bengal for three and a half hours.
The incident took place around 3.45am and the rail communications resumed around 7.15am.
Mirzapur Fire Service Station Officer Kafil Uddin said that a truck was crossing the rail line around 3.45am. During this time, the truck became out of service on the railway track and the Dhaka-bound Dhumketu Express train hit it. In this incident, a helper of another truck was seriously injured. He was rushed to Kaliakoir Hospital in Gazipur.
Train communications on this route and traffic movement on Dhaka-Tangail highway started around 7:30 am.
