Govt announces TK39.62cr incentive for farmers

Senior Correspondent: The government has announced a TK 39.62 crore incentive for 237,182 farmers, for cultivating Aush crops in 2017-2018 fiscal year.

Under the incentive package, farmers will get seeds and fertilizer with the the irrigation cost.

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury made the announcement while addressing a press conference at secretariat in the capital on Wednesday noon.

She said farmers will get 32 crore 33 lakh 53 thousands and 170 taka in 64 districts.

Besides, farmers of 40 districts will get Tk7.29 crore for Ufshi Aush farming through using the government incentive, the minister added.
