'Permanent solution on Rohingya crisis underway'

Staff Correspondent: Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina introduced a new path of humanity giving shelter to displaced Rohingyas. Permanent solution on Rohingya crisis is underway in the line with UN's five points.

The Speaker made the assertion while addressing a discussion with Swiss President Alain Berset in the city on Wednesday.

During the meeting, they discussed different bilateral issues, including Rohingya, economic and infrastructural development, poverty alleviation, social security net and women empowerment.

Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said Myanmar has to come forward to repatriate Rohingyas peacefully.

Meanwhile, she thanked Swiss President for visiting Kutupalang camps in Cox’s Bazar to insight into the ongoing humanitarian crisis of Rohingyas.
