Amena was a victim of serial killing?

Staff Correspondent: Amena Begum, 65, who was murdered at his own home of the capital’s West Nakhalparha on Thursday, was a victim of serial killing, police suspect.

Detectives have already started investigation to uncover the mystery behind the murder.

However, they could not arrest someone over the incident till Friday afternoon.

But the incident bore similar evidences with several killings happened earlier.

Investigation Officer (IO) of the case Aminul Islam, also Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station told risingbd that no mentionable clues were yet found behind the killing. The person who came to take rent the house is not yet clear. No CC cameras at the house. It could not be ascertained as an incident of robbery as no goods were stolen. So, it seems as an exceptional murder.

But the manner of the murder and the post evidences of it forced us to look back to other killings happened, he added.

Detectives said the incident had similar to the evidences of the incident happened at the capital’s Dakshinkhan in 2016, leaving three housewives murdered and two injured.

The killers also entered the house with the excuse of renting home. But, no clues has not yet been recovered over the incident.

According to the deceased’s relatives, a youth rang calling bell on Thursday noon. He said that he wanted to take rent a flat. Amena got down at ground floor with the youth to show him the flat. Later, she was stabbed to death.

Officials of the investigation concerned said the killers of Dakshinkhan attacked on the housewives from behind. Amena was also killed in the same manner. All the killings are still in the list of serial killings.

Meanwhile, detectives found part of Amena’s head and hair at the spot which are under chemical test at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

No injury marks were found on Amena’s body, but two on her head

It may be mentioned that a case was filed over the murder with Tejgaon Police Station.
