Illegal imports and market destroying approaches to be stopped

Economic Correspondent: National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said the revenue policy in the upcoming budget will be formulated favourable to the textile traders.
Alongside, illegal imports and market destroyer approaches will be stopped, he added.
NBR chairman came up with the statement while speaking at a ‘revenue dialogue’ with businessmen, tax payers and locals at ST Institution of Madhabdi in Narsingdi on Saturday morning.
Tax Zone-10 arranged the revenue dialogue, according to a press release signed by NBR Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sayed MA Mumen.
NBR chairman also said, “NBR will not take any step that will harass businessmen. People who import additional goods than necessary with the abuse of bond facilities and sell the goods illegally in open market, surveillance will be tightened on them. And offences will be prevented strictly.”
“Money or revenue income is key to the development of a country. The enrichment of the statement will be stronger by providing enough money. For this, people of all walks of life will have to pay taxes with happiness and joy,” he added.
