Students stage sit-in to free protesters

Staff Correspondent: Students and job seekers have staged a sit-in programme in front of Raju Sculpture on the Dhaka University campus demanding release of protesters.

Students took out a procession on the campus and gathered in front of Raju Sculpture around 12.30pm.

Earlier, Coordinator of Bangladesh Shadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad (Bangladesh General Students’ Right Protection Council) Rashed Khan gave the ultimatum to release protesters at a press conference.

He said that the movement would be strengthened if the general students are not released quickly.


According to sources, 25 students were detained from the spot on Sunday.
