One killed in Khandakar Mosharraf’s motorcade accident

Cumilla Correspondent: A man was killed as the BNP standing committee member Dr. Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain’s motorcade met a road accident on Tuesday noon.

15 others were injured in the accident that took place around 1.00am at Amirabad U-turn area of Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

The deceased was identified as Juwel Prodhan Raihan, 20, a JCD activist of Daudkandi municipality unit and son of late Chhadek Mia Prodhan at Chonarchor village of Daudkandi municipality. 

The accident took place as the BNP leaders and activists were traveling by a squad of 25 microbuses and private cars from Daudkandi area to attend a wedding reception of UP Chairman Mujibur Rahman’s son.

It has been known that two buses hit two microbuses and one private car of the motorcade, leaving Raihan dead on the spot.
