5 Rohingyas held with Bangladeshi passport

Chuadanga Correspondent: Law enforcers arrested five Rohingyas at Joynagar check post under Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga when they were trying to go India with forged Bangladeshi passports.

The detainees are- Shaker, son of Nuru Salam of Balukhali Rohingya camp, Amim from Tengkhali camp, Aiyaz, son of Jayala of Kutupalong new camp, Sadek, son of Jalal and Hares, son of Harun of Jamtoli new camp.

Damurhuda police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukumar Biswas said five youths went to Joynagar check-post along with fake passports.

"At one stage, immigration police make it confirmed that the youths are Rohingyas. Later, they confessed that they are citizen of Myanmar and took shelter in Rohingya camps in Bangladesh," OC added.
