Sub-registrar held with bribe money

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested a sub-registrar along with bribe money in Atghoria upazila of Pabna.

A special team of ACC, led by its Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddique, arrested Israt Jahan from her office on Tuesday afternoon.

ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to risingbd.com.

Based on an allegation brought by Golam Mostafa, a deed writer, ACC's Pabna office formed a team and conducted a drive in the office of Israt Jahan. The ACC team found Tk 10,000 at her hand bag and Tk 50,000 at her personal drawer of the office room while she was being arrested, Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.

A case was filed against her in this connection, he added.
