1.16cr sacrificial animals ready for Eid-ul-Azha

Staff Correspondent: The number of animals ready for the slaughtering on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha across the country is 1.16 crore. Of them, 44.57 lakh are cows and buffaloes while 71 lakh are goats and sheep.

Last year, the number of sacrificial animals was 1.4 crore before the Eid.

Md Shah Alam, senior information officer at the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, came up with the information on Sunday.
