‘Strict action to be taken if laws on roads violated’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia declared that traffic week will be observed throughout the country from tomorrow. Strict action will be taken if laws are violated while moving in the streets.
The DMP chief made the announcement at a press conference held at the DMP Media Centre on Minto Road in the capital on Saturday.
Extending his thanks to the students for their initiative to maintain and regulating traffic rules, Asaduzzaman said that from tomorrow (Sunday) traffic week will begin and urged the students to return to their classes.
"From tomorrow police will maintain all the traffic rules strictly, so now I urge the students to go back to their schools," he told the press conference.
