East West students, police clash

Staff Correspondent: Students of East West University and police engaged in several chases and counter chases in Rampura bridge area in the capital on Monday at around 12:00pm.

Police fired teargas at the students at the time.

The law enforcers had earlier prevented the students from coming out of their campus on Monday morning.

Police fired teargas and blank shots to disperse students, who were trying to gather in front of their campus.

The students took position at the gate and on the street in front of the university in the morning where they scuffled with the police.
