Chase and counter-chase between cops, students in Bashundhara

Staff Correspondent: A chase and counter-chase between police and students of North South University (NSU), Independent University and American International University has taken place today in Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital.

Police chased the students while they were trying to take positions on Pragoti Sarani in the capital around 12:30pm. Later, the students who gathered there protesting attack on their peers took position inside Bashundhara Residential Area.

On the other hand, police took position on the roads. Vehicular movement came to a stop when a chase and counter-chase between them took place, causing a panic in the area.

Around 1:30pm, the university students after being organized chased the police, leaving many of them injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital.
