Eid advance bus ticket sales begin

Staff Correspondent: Sales of advance ticket for long-distance bus have begun today (Tuesday) on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.

The information has been confirmed on Tuesday morning after talking with people performing their duties at different counters at Gabtoli bus terminal in the capital.

People were seen to collect their tickets standing in a long queue.

Shyamali Paribahan counter manager Shamim Hossain said long line of people wishing to buy tickets were seen from the very morning. Manpower at the counter has been increased to deal with the people thronging the counter for collecting tickets.

There is a huge demand for the tickets on August 20 and 21, he said.

Earlier, Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners’ Association postponed the selling of advance bus ticket due to an unavoidable reason although it was supposed to sell on Sunday (August 5).
