SP Golden Line owner gets bail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has granted bail to Junayed Hossain Laskar, the owner of SP Golden Line bus which killed a man in the capital’s Moghbazar area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Fahad Bin Amin Chowdhury passed the order on Wednesday.

The court, however, rejected bail plea of the bus driver Imran Sardar.

Junayed’s lawyer told the court during hearing that he (Junayed) is determined to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. His flight is set to fly on August 10. In this circumstance, he is seeking bail in the case.

Though the general registrar officer of the police station concerned opposed the bail plea, the court granted bail, rejecting driver’s petition.
