BGB sends back 11 Rohingya boats

Cox's Correspondent: Border Gourd Bangladesh (BGB) has sent back 11 boats with Rohingya on the Naf river at Shah Parir Dwip point of the border at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.

Sources said that the Rohingyas included five children, three women and three men.

Major Md Shariful Islam Joarddar, Additional Director of BGB Teknaf-2 Battalion said that a BGB patrol spotted the boat from Myanmar at the zero line of the border around 11:15pm on Monday. However, the boat started to enter Bangladesh territory violating BGB signal. Later, BGB personnel sent them back.

BGB forces are kept alert to prevent any kinds of offensive activities including illegal trespassing, said Major Shariful.
