Passengers suffer for bus schedule collapse

Staff Correspondent:  Eid holidaymakers are facing sufferings as bus schedules have collapsed because of heavy traffic congestion on the highways.

Different bus services had to defer their schedules by several hours adding woes to the suffering of passengers.

During visits to bus terminals it was noticed that hundreds of passengers were waiting for hours for their buses.

“I came here in time as my bus was scheduled to arrive at 10:00am. But now they are saying the bus will arrive at 11:00am,” a passenger said.

In Gabtoli bus terminal, almost all the buses delayed by around one or one and a half hours.

Thousands of city dwellers left the city from yesterday night while a large number of people are expected to leave for home today.
