Five Eid jamaats held at Baitul Mukarram

Staff Correspondent: A total of five Eid jamaat (congregation) were held at the national mosque Baitul Mukarram on Wednesday.

The first jamaat was held at 7:00am while other congregations were held at 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am and 10:45am respectively.

Thousands of devotees from different parts of the capital attended every congregation. The North and South gates were filled with devotees. Many were also waiting for next Eid prayers after missing the previous one.



Baitul Mukarram Pesh Imam Hafiz Mufti Muhibullahil Baki Nadvi administered the first jamaat while Tejgaon railway mosque Imam Dr Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed, Mohakhali Hossainia Kamil Madrasa principal Maulana Nazrul Islam Al-Faruk, Islamic Foundation Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah and Islamic Foundation deputy director Maulana Abdur Rab Mia conducted the other congregations respectively.

After the congregations, special munajats were offered seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of Bangladesh and welfare of the people as well as the Muslim Ummah.
