Road Transport Bill to be passed in next session

Senior Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the next session of the parliament will be final session of the incumbent government. The Road Transport Bill-2018 will be passed in the session.
The Minister told this to the reporters emerging from an exchange views meeting with experts and people concerned over bringing discipline on the roads held at the auditorium of the ministry on Tuesday afternoon.
Quader said, “The bill will be sent to the parliamentary standing committee for examining in it. Then, the experts can give suggestions if they want.”
“I salute the students who waged massive demonstration demanding safe roads. The bill is going to final nod as a result of the movement,” he added.
The Awami League general secretary said, “The 22th session will be the last session for the 10th national parliament. No more session will be held after that. But the parliament will not be dissolved until the next general election holds. Then, MPs will not have any power.”
